The Scriptures

This version of the Bible is my favorite! In addition to retaining the original names of people and places, it also keeps the name of God as יהוה rather than replacing it with other words. But the best feature of this version is that Old Testament scriptures that appear in the New Testament are shown in bold print. This highlights the clear link between the Old and New Testaments, providing the proper context for the New Testament accounts. I’ve learned so much from studying the Bible in this way and I think you will too!

Enter His Gates: To Your Jewish Roots by Susan Marcus

Susan Marcus’s book was so helpful as my family started on this journey in our faith. Addressed specifically to Christians, it answers many questions and offers practical information necessary for bringing Hebrew Roots into a Christian home.

A Year Through the Torah

Based on the Parashōt, or the annual Torah (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy) reading cycle, this book is a very educational study of the whole Bible! Each weekly Torah portion is described and how it relates to the New Testament and Jesus is made clear. I highly recommend this book for any Christian serious about deepening their faith through an understanding of our Hebrew roots.

Celebrating Jesus in the Biblical Feasts

All of the Biblical Feast Days point to Jesus and are beneficial to our faith as Christians. This book highlights and explains the Feast Days as well as their connection to our Savior.

A Family Guide to the Biblical Holidays: With Activities for All Ages

Here’s a great guide for Christian families who would would like to make the rich traditions of these Biblical celebrations their own.

Holy Scriptures – TLV Version

This version of the bible strives to keep the translation pure and within the context of the Jewish culture in which it was written. The majority of it is in English but many terms remain in Hebrew to ensure their full meaning is not lost. A glossary is included for all Hebrew words.
